Michelle Monaghan Wore a Ripply Roksanda Ilincic Dress

Photo: Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images

Michelle Monaghan attended a screening of her new movie, Source Code, in New York last night wearing a sleeveless bright teal dress from Roksanda Ilincic's spring 2011 collection with asymmetrical rolling pleats at the waist and a fishtail hem. She paired it with a pair of Chrissie Morris ankle-strap heels and a Jimmy Choo clutch.

The color looks great, but are the pleats and wrinkles the most flattering thing for Michelle?

First Look: Isaac Mizrahi’s Full Bridal Collection for the Aisle

Isaac Mizrahi's capsule bridal collection drops online Tuesday at new e-commerce site the Aisle New York, which is members-only (so join now, if you want one of these). Having dabbled in different bridal markets over the years (he's done several collections under his own label, as well as one for Target), it's fitting that Mizrahi's latest wedding-dress venture is an experimental one: Lots of brides-to-be might be nervous about ordering their dress online, which he's prepared for. All six dresses appear to be flattering cuts and come in sizes 0 to 14; you can also opt to get yours customized by submitting ten measurements (your gown will be sent two weeks later). Top 20 Highlights from Cintra Wilson's 'Critical Shopper' Column

Cintra Wilson penned her last column as the Critical Shopper for the Times this week, delivering her final bow with a barbed assessment of club-like shoe boutique United Nude. Over nearly three years, Wilson has inspired glee and controversy with her refreshingly unrestrained retail reviews. Though she occasionally deigned to make the trek into Brooklyn (one memorable foray into the borough took on Dumbo's stroller-pushing moms: "They all seem jobless, but with limitless discretionary funds and rare bloodline pugs"), the pages were most often devoted to high-end designer boutiques in Soho and along Madison Avenue--those more likely to be coddled by magazines and newspapers than taken to task for their snobby customer service. Her no-holds-barred approach examined the opulent décor, the store clerks, the wincingly high prices, and, of course, the merchandise, from a $30 Armani lipstick ("I looked as if I'd spent the night kissing a freeway cone") to a $65,000 sable coat at Rick Owens ("like youth and sex and butter all at the same time"). Though her sentiments often ricocheted between guilty adoration and biting snarkiness, she was also smart: She often approached the city's luxury brands with a natural curiosity and an almost philosophical mindset. We read over Wilson's formidably funny archive to pick out the Critical Shopper's top 20 edicts.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana Aren’t Going to Trial After All

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were cleared today of any charges of criminal tax evasion, which they faced following a two-year investigation of their allegedly shady business practices in Luxembourg. While it's still unclear about how much money they might owe the Italian government in back taxes, no one will be going to trial over the matter. See, lots of people get this paperwork stuff mixed up (in Italy especially), but it doesn't mean they're criminals. No need to have an unseemly court trial (that harsh courtroom lighting — *shudder*) and hurl threats about orange jumpsuits.

The Best and Worst of March Fashion Magazines

March is the September of spring, the month when magazines fully introduce the new season in extra-fat issues with extra-fat fashion spreads. Standouts this month include W, which offered a new take on color-blocking — something that's not easy now that it feels like every magazine has done at least two stories on the trend. Model Arizona Muse also nailed it, as she tends to, dripping wet in Dazed & Confused and dancing with one of our other favorite girls, Freja Beha, in Numéro. March's French Vogue marked Carine Roitfeld's last issue as editor-in-chief — and judging by her fashion spreads she did not go quietly. Vogue published the latest all-black-model feature and failed to make the concept feel any less out of touch. Harper's Bazaar made an equally puzzling statement on China, involving a person in a panda suit and parasols. Sexy shirtless men were also accounted for in Elle (Rafael Nadal) and InStyle (Ryan Phillippe). Enjoy those shots and more in the slideshow.

Giorgio Armani Would Like to Make Katie Holmes’s Chanel Costume, Please

The Kennedys miniseries starring Katie Holmes as Jackie O premieres on Sunday, and if there's one reason it's worth watching it has got to be the costumes. Costume designer Christopher Hargadon spoke to StyleList about the replica of one of Jackie's most famous looks: the pink Chanel suit she wore the day her husband was shot.

StyleList: I was struck by the image of Katie wearing a replica of the pink suit that Jackie wore on the day of President Kennedy's assassination. How important was it for you to get that exactly right?
C.H.: It's funny you mention that suit. It was actually done for Katie by (Giorgio) Armani. She and Tom (Cruise) have a relationship with Armani, and when they found out she was doing the project, they asked to make her clothes. So we told them she would need 45 or 50 looks for all the episodes and they had to be done in about 72 days. They came back and said, "Then, we'd like to do two." So they made that and her inaugural gown. The rest were made in our workshop in Toronto.

Eh, we'd take the Chanel and the other most important look, too.

LOOK AT BEYONCÉ’S NEW LOOK FOR HER NEW MUSIC VIDEO!

Our Lady Diva was spotted in New Jersey on a shoot for the first video from her new album. She's wearing a Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit from the pre-spring 2011 collection and a hairy coat from the label's fall line. Aren't you so glad to see her back in action? She's been so quiet lately, probably just making home with Jay-Z instead of noise, both audio and visual. But all that can be made up for with this one look. This one Sasquatch-chic look. You go, Bey. You go.

Yep, it's still scary.Photo: Courtesy of American Apparel

Following the announcement of a total 2010 loss of $86.3 million, American Apparel says it may have to file for bankruptcy if it can't improve sales or get more money some other way. It gets worse:

The retailer known for its sexually provocative advertising also indicated that even if it does file for bankruptcy, it may be forced to liquidate if it can't put together a reorganization plan or find bankruptcy financing.

Prada Will Probably Go Public by July

On the heels of announcing record profits for 2010, Prada appears to be a few months away from listing itself on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a move that's supposedly been in the works for a while. Women's Wear Daily reports that Prada's initial public offering would consist of a 20-percent stake that values the company at $9.5 billion, but per the Hong Kong listing authorities, the label isn't allowed to talk to the press about it until they've been approved.

Diane Von Furstenberg, Post-Ski-Accident, Shot by Chuck Close

Still got it, sister.Photo: Courtesy of Harper's Bazaar

Just a few weeks before her scheduled date to be photographed by Chuck Close, Diane Von Furstenberg was in a skiing accident that left her with a broken nose and minor facial fractures. “When the accident happened, I said, ‘Oh no, my cheekbones! They’re my best asset,’” she told Harper's Bazaar. “But you know, everybody thinks you’ve just been beaten up. I went to the ER and I said, ‘Ski accident,’ and they said, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah.’” So she went to the photo shoot anyway, proclaiming, “I gave up on my looks a long time ago.”

Slideshow: The Week in Street Style

Ruby Aldridge is a fixture on the street-style blogs for obvious reasons: Her "off-duty" look is just as fabulous, if not even more so, than when she's styled for a job. Gastro Chic captured her outside the Chloé show in Paris last month, looking solemn and feminine in layers of navy blue lace. Other favorites from this week include an unidentified woman in bright red tights, shot in Jerusalem by the Streetswalker, and Urban Weeds' photo of adorable little Bennett, looking very dignified in his gray zip-up and boots. Enjoy!

Cindy Adams Does Not Approve of Your Outfit

"Page Six" columnist Cindy Adams has had enough — enough! — with the way New Yorkers are dressing these days. "Everything has gone far too far ... Massive buckles on belts the width of that Egyptian cobra. Huge shoulder tote bags that smack into you on the street. Giant orthopedic 6-inch-high platform stilts on their feet. Low heels are only for dating a short fat bald millionaire. Everything in between is micro mini." Menswear is no better: "It's low-cut pants in three sizes — small, medium and don't bend over. The butt crack is so visible they needn't change for a colonoscopy." Oh, ew. [Page Six/NYP]

Dior Will Replace Galliano Whenever They Darn Well Please, All Right?

Galliano's replacement, for now.Photo: Francois Guillot/AFP/Getty Images

It's Riccardo Tisci! Wait, it's Jean Paul Gaultier? Or Olivier Theyskens? Oh my God, when will they announce the replacement so we can rest easy that Dior will still be carried in stores and photographed in magazines?!

Of course, the label is doing just fine. At a shareholders' meeting for Dior yesterday, LVMH chief Bernard Arnault announced that Dior's large design team is functioning smoothly without a creative leader for now, and that they'll name Galliano's successor when they feel like it. As evidenced by the label's fall collection, which walked at its scheduled time without a hitch and received perfectly decent reviews, there's a large and capable group of people behind the Dior label who can steer the ship. Also, Dior's revenues were up a solid 15 percent in the year 2010, so people are obviously still buying the label.

Arnault: "Nothing has been decided" about Galliano's replacement. »

Best Bet: RGB Spring Polishes

Beach, Coral, and Stone.

Ecoconscious nail polishes can be hit or miss: We love them for forgoing chemicals but too often end up layering on another coat every couple days when they chip off. RGB combines the best of both worlds. The polishes are free of unnecessary additives — formaldehyde, toluene, DBP — but pack the lasting power and smooth, shiny finish of high-end lacquers. This month, the brand released three new shades for spring: Stone, an opaque dove gray; Beach, a sheer, translucent nude; and Coral, a neon orangey-red. Coral makes a splashy pedicure shade to offset summer sandals, while Stone (closer to an off-white than it appears here) offers a softer, spring-y alternative to the violet-tinged gunmetal shades of 2010.

RGB polish, $16 each online.

Candice Swanepoel Accused of Looking ‘Shockingly Thin’

Photo: Theo Wargo/Getty Images, Jen Lowery/Splash News

Yesterday Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel appeared at a promotional event for Victoria's Secret swimwear in West Hollywood looking — get this, you guys — skinny. "Scary skinny," editorializes the Daily News, which calls her waistline "shockingly thin," attempting to fuel their point by running a photo of Candice taken yesterday next to a photo of Candice walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in November. Like, can you believe she is thin? Can you believe this Victoria's Secret supermodel would dare to maybe even be a tiny bit thinner than she was a few months ago or perhaps — oh, God, could this be possible — have stayed the same size? Can you believe these two photos of her? Why, they're — they're just ... so ... shocking!!!
