Pat Padua joined the Library of Congress in 1992, when he worked as an accessioner in the division of Motion Pictures, Broadcasting and Sound. He was part of the team that programmed the repertory film screenings at the Mary Pickford Theater. In 2001 he joined the Music Division as a digital conversion specialist for the project now known as the Performing Arts Encyclopedia. Pat's music and film criticism has appeared in the All Music Guide, Cinescene and Blogcritics. He earned a bachelors degree in Psychology at the Catholic University of America. The Washington Post called him "a talented, if quirky, photographer," and his photographs have been exhibited in San Francisco, Baltimore, and his native Washington.
