Dame Dash talks about having diabetes.
Check out how the guest, defense attorney Lauren Lake, is “accidentally†labeled as a “former back up singer” in the beginning of the clip. I have to say though, she held Snoop down and didn’t stand for any of O’Reilly’s bullshit.
Edit: I stand corrected, Lauren did sing back up for several artists at one point.
Papoose – 50 Shots (radio rip) Addressing the Sean Bell shooting.
Big props to VanGO GFX.
Bonus: Nas – Where Are They Now (No DJ promo version)
From The Come Up DVD magazine. Jay talks about his album leaking, bootlegging, etc.
The early leak of Kingdom Come doesn’t appear to have taken much of a toll on the project as far as sales. In its first week in stores, it moved 680,000 units and will debut at #1 album on Billboard.
Here’s the song that was previously labeled QB True G on previous Hip Hop Is Dead track lists, but is now called Hustlers.
Snoop managed to get himself locked up again last night on drug and weapons charges without even entering a commercial airport or attempting to board a plane:
Detectives from the Burbank Police Department served a search warrant on Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, outside NBC studios in Burbank at approximately 7:30 p.m. this evening. Police say they found the rapper in possession of cocaine, a firearm and a large amount of marijuana. He was also cited for allegedly having a false compartment in his vehicle.
The rapper had just performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and was leaving the studio when police pulled his car over on Bob Hope Drive and placed him under arrest. Bail has been set at $60,000, and TMZ is told that the lawyer for the rap star expects him to be released.
This latest run in with law enforcement seems to be a departure from Snoop’s usual mode of operation, wherein he enters a highly secure transportation facility with illegal drugs and/or weapons. (Although, TMZ is saying that this arrest is the result of an investigation initiated after his arrest last month on similar charges at Burbank Airport).
You have to love this guy.
The Hip Hop Is Dead video premiers tomorrow on BET’s Access Granted. There’s another version of the track list floating around that is missing QB True G. If that song isn’t on the album, I’m slapping somebody. Seriously.
If you’ve ever wondered why Irv Gotti would ever fuck with Universal again after they dropped him like a bad habit during his trial, here’s some insight.
Speaking of the Inc Dynasty: New Ja Rule ft. Mary – All I Need (Didn’t she already make that song with Meth?)
Snoop exposes some weird hair fetish that Suge has.
Redman talks about his album. I don’t know how old that video is but he needs to relax with that June talk. I’ll be at B.B. King’s tonight for him and Raekwon’s appearance.
Melle Mel needs to put his shirt on, he ain’t big.
The Mixtape Award nominees are in and voting is open. Good to see that continuing after Justo’s untimely death.
Hey, mainstream media: Kid Rock is NOT a rapper by any stretch of the imagination. Carry on.
Tracy Morgan caught another DWI.
New Ballerina P – That’s Why
(I was just kidding with that Melle Mel shit, he can do whatever he wants…)
