Apparently Banks was at first very hesitant about jumping on the song when Budden initially approached him during last year’s Thisis50 Fest.

“First time I met [Joe] was in the Governor’s Island show that we had last summer,” he said. “We had spoke…and he was like, ‘Yo, I want you to get on a record’ and I’m like, ‘Joe, I’m so used to you talkin’ shit.’ I didn’t know what to make of this right here.”

Co-starring the very funny Affion Crockett. Dr. Dre held a press conference at the Best Buy Center in New York City yesterday to promote his new line of Beats By Dre/Monster headphones.

Dre had already said that Detox was coming out this year, but now he’s saying that he’s trying ready it by December, or at least have something out by Christmas time… and that’s when Jimmy Iovine joked that they might have to move Christmas.

Backstage at the Home & Home concert, Dr. Dre revealed that none of the Detox leaks will make it to the final album.

Detox was a myth Monster Cable constructed to sell headphones. Fin.
