Noisecreep has partnered with Our Last Night to bring you an exclusive tour diary from the band. Here is the second installment. Enjoy!

From Our Last Night:

"After the Memphis show we made our way to Texas where we would be spending the next couple days. First stop in the Lone Star state wonderful Houston, Texas! Texas in July Bassist on Their New Album's Sound: 'It's Finally Us'

"We decided to just call the album Texas In July because the more we listened to the final product, the more we realized that we had finally found what we had been trying to write for years," Texas In July bassist Ben Witkowski tells Noisecreep.

We're on the phone with Witkowski during Texas In July's current European tour in support of their brand new self-titled album. The bassist says while he's extremely proud of their new record, he still stands behind their earlier work. "We were super-young when we wrote I Am [2009], but a lot of people love it. So I try not to bash our older songs. I'm still pleased with that early stuff."

For Texas In July, the Pennsylvania-based metalcore group worked with producer Will Putney (For Today, Chiodos), resulting in their most dynamic set of songs yet. "With this album, we can finally say, 'It's finally us.' We worked really hard on the songwriting and Will was so easy to work with."

The album also features guest performances from vocalist Dave Stephens of We Came As Romans, August Burns Red drummer Matt Greiner and Hundredth vocalist Chad Johnson.

Nickelback Instagram Parody: Rock 'N' Roll Comedy Gold

CollegeHumor.com

Instagram and Nickelback. Both are ubiquitous in pop culture, although Instagram may be a bit more popular than the hit-making Canadian institution that music lovers love to hate. In this hilariously silly new College Humor parody, Nickelback's hit single "Photograph" is turned into a male-female duet that is used to highlight the fact that most people take Instagram photos of things that are just not worthy of being snapped.

Coffee foam, garden gnomes, fireworks in the sky, a superclose up of my eye! Tell us you haven't seen those show up in the camera rolls of the people you follow on Instagram.

This vid effectively captures the cold, hard fact that a whole lot of nonsense fills your Instagram feed. That is, if you use the photo sharing service and are so hellbent on documenting' peach pie.

Dave Grohl Documentary Unveils Trailer, Masters of Reality Return + More News

YouTube.com

Dave Grohl's directorial debut, Sound City, is set to premiere at Sundance. It will follow with a theatrical bow in February of next year. The film is a doc about Sound City, the Van Nuys, Calif. recording studio. Grohl was inspired to make the film when he purchased the Neve 8028 recording console, built in 1972, from the studio. Besides that, his personal connection to Sound City began in 1991 when Nirvana recorded Nevermind there. So he has serious history with the location.

Now, about that console? Well, it was so inspiring to Grohl since it is considered to be the crown jewel of analog recording equipment and has been used to capture such artists as Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Cheap Trick, Guns N' Roses, Fear, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica and more.
