Barack the Lyin’ Sack of Shit Just Stuck It To Those Making Less Than 30K!

I am so angry today, I’m shaking. I can no longer restrain the vituperation that is ever-present in my mind regarding what Obama and his Progressive minions are doing to this nation and our economy via their never-ending class warfare and out-of-control addiction to spending—all for the sake of assuming total power and control over the American citizenry.

We, as a nation—both Democrat, Republican, and everything in-between—were promised by a one Barack Hussein Obama—over and over again—the so-called middle class would “never see any of their taxes go up”:

Well, under the new fiscal cliff measure recently rammed through Congress, workers making less than $30,000 a year will take a disproportionately bigger hit than those making $500,000 a year.

The Daily Mail (hat tip: Gateway Pundit) reported:

Middle-class workers will take a bigger hit to their income proportionately than those earning between $200,000 and $500,000 under the new fiscal cliff deal, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

Earners in the latter group will pay an average 1.3 percent more – or an additional $2,711 – in taxes this year, while workers making between $30,000 and $200,000 will see their paychecks shrink by as much as 1.7 percent – or up to $1,784 – the D.C.-based think tank reported.

Overall, nearly 80 percent of households will pay more money to the federal government as a result of the fiscal cliff deal.

‘The economy needs a stimulus, but under the agreement, taxes will go up in 2013 relative to 2012 – not only on high-income households, as widely discussed, but also on every working man and woman in the country, via the end of the payroll tax cut,’ said William G. Gale, co-director of the Tax Policy Center.

‘For most households, the payroll tax takes a far bigger bite than the income tax does, and the payroll tax cut therefore – as [the Congressional Budget Office] and others have shown – was a more effective stimulus than income tax cuts were, because the payroll tax cuts hit lower in the income distribution and hence were more likely to be spent,’ he added.

Okay, this is hitting me right where it hurts; it’s hitting me personally in the wallet. I’m one of those struggling out here in this purposefully stagnant economy. I know many others are too. I’m being bald-faced lied to by my alleged leaders. I’ve literally gone from middle class to lower class over the past six years … and Obamacare hasn’t even kicked in yet. OH BOY!

Being tempted to despair is something I deal with on a daily basis, while I watch Obama et ilk enrich themselves on the backs of the American people, at the same time giving America the proverbial finger, while telling them to “pay their fair share.”

If one pays close attention to the class rhetoric spewing forth from this lyin’ SOB, Barack Obama, one will observe that he never, ever mentions the “lower class.” But, that should be of no surprise, since the poor don’t have any money for the king and his court to steal! The lower classes (“small people”) are relegated to “Occupy” duty—either useful idiots for the progressive (socialist) cause, or swept aside.

I am sick and tired of being bald-faced lied to by this president and his ilk. Who in the hell does he think he is? The president is saying and doing anything he desires, despite any contrary promises previously made to the American people. Obama obviously has absolutely no problem making lofty utopian promises, which he clearly has no intention of keeping, in order to achieve his predetermined political end of “fundamental transformation.”

What I just don’t get is how so many Americans are willing to be lied to and taxed into extinctionnot to mention the coverup in Benghazi, the Fast and Furious gun-running operation, double-counting in the healthcare bill, skyrocketing debt and deficits, steady loss of jobs, printing money in perpetuity, evisceration of the military during time of war, etc.—then tell themselves it will all be okay.

That fact of the matter is Obama and the Democrats will never stop asking the American people to “pay their fair share” until they have soaked every last dime from every single American. There isn’t enough riches and wealth in the entire world to satisfy the radical left’s insane, insatiable lust for money and power. They will never stop, unless forced to stop.

This Week’s Watcher’s Council Results

The Council Has Spoken!! This Week’s Watcher’s Council Results

on Jan 04 2013 | Filed under: The Council Has Spoken!.

The Council has spoken, the votes have been cast, and the results are in for the first Watcher’s Council match up of 2013!

Even taking into consideration the normal high level of quality in both the Council and Non-Council entries, this was a tough call with some exceptional pieces to choose from, and the close vote tallies reflect it.

It’s been said that one of the most deadly weapons on earth is A U.S. Marine and his rifle, but as this week’s winner, The Mellow Jihadi shows us with Corporals of the United States Marine Corps , some of them are pretty deadly with a pen in hand as well, especially when speaking truth to our pompous, self aggrandizing elites! Here’s a slice:

The Navy, in its infinite wisdom, sent me and 66 of my ruffian cohorts to the Marine barracks. We had run out of room in the Navy building.

I got all the guys together and told them from that day forward we would solve all our own problems. No one whines to the quarterdeck until he gives us (me and four of the older guys) a chance to straighten things out.

For a year, this worked perfectly. (One minor exception, but we forgave the guy for blabbering to the JOOD. He was sleep-deprived and ate only Willy Wonka candy. A story for another time. . .)

In the Marine barracks, once my Marine friends made Corporal, they were a breed apart from us. It was a major step up from Seaman and Lance Corporal. They were men. Take this letter Corporal Joshua Boston wrote to Diane Feinstein. Without any fuss, the Corporal makes his point. And it ends with this beauty:

I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston
Cpl, United States Marine Corps
2004-2012

Nice group, Corporal Boston, and right on target…Semper Fi!

In our non-Council category, the winner was veteran humorist Bob Owen with  What You’ll See In The Rebellion  submitted by Rhymes With Right. It’s his view pf what might happen in the event there’s an attempt at a federal gun grab.

As a lagniappe, here’s a link to Owens being interviewed on the subject over at PJTV by Instapundit’s Glenn Reynolds.

OK, here are this week’s full results. Gay Patriot was unable to vote, but was not subject to the mandatory 2/3 vote penalty.

Council Winners

Non-Council Winners

See you next week! Don’t forget to tune in on Monday AM for this week’s Watcher’s Forum, as the Council takes apart one of the provocative topics of the day and weighs in…don’t you dare miss it. And don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter..’cause we’re cool like that!

Putnam County NY Hangs Tough, Refuses to Release Personal Info of Law-Abiding Citizens to Local Paper [Video]

(MyFoxNY.com) — NEW YORK (AP) — A New York county clerk justified his refusal to release the names and addresses of handgun permit holders to a newspaper, saying it would give stalkers and thieves a convenient roadmap to target potential victims — and determine whether they have a gun.

“This certainly puts my public in danger,” Putnam County Clerk Dennis Sant said Thursday following a news conference in which he was backed by the county executive and other elected officials.

The Journal News, which serves New York City’s northern suburbs, sparked an outcry last month when it published clickable online maps with the names and addresses of pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester counties.

When the newspaper requested the same information from Putnam, Sant initially said the county needed more time to fulfill the request. Sant balked entirely this week, saying the law gives him the prerogative to refuse to release public information if it endangers the public. Judges and police officers could be targeted by the people they put behind bars, he said. People with orders of protection have expressed concern to him about would-be attackers finding them through the database.

While anyone can come into his office and file the necessary paperwork to request information on individual permits, Sant said the difference is that the Journal News plans to publish the information in a way that makes it accessible to everyone, instantaneously.

“First of all, it tells criminals who doesn’t have a gun,” he said. “It gives a burglar or it gives a thief a map.”

The Journal News’ database and accompanying story, “The Gun Owner Next Door,” was published as part of the newspaper’s coverage following the Newtown, Conn., school shooting. Some readers say it unfairly stigmatized gun owners, branding them in the same way as online maps showing where child molesters live. The newspaper says it received threats and has posted armed guards at its offices.

Journal News Publisher Janet Hasson did not respond to several requests for comment Thursday but has issued statements previously standing behind the newspaper’s project and maintaining residents have a right to see such public information.

Diane Kennedy, president of the New York News Publishers Association, said she reached out to Hasson offering support. She said editors may debate whether the Journal News should have published the database, but they fully backed the newspaper’s right to access public records under New York’s Freedom of Information Law. If the issue went to court, she said, member newspapers would file a friend-of-the-court brief in support of the Journal News.

“It’s really clear cut,” Kennedy said. “The existing law doesn’t have exemptions in it. It says this information is subject to FOIL.”

Rex Smith, editor of the Times Union in Albany, N.Y., said : “There is a broad consensus that the kind of resistance to the FOIL application that we’re seeing in Putnam County is intolerable.”

The denial of similar information to The Wall Street Journal by New York City’s police commissioner led to a case that in 1981 was decided in favor of the newspaper.

But Sant says that times have changed.

“The technology today is so different,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity of bringing to the magistrates that this is not 30 years ago.”

Several attempts to pass a law that would shield gun permit holders’ personal information have failed to pass the legislature in recent years.

Experts say the county may have a difficult time defending the refusal, because New York state law classifies the data as public.

“The argument has been made and rejected,” said Robert Freeman of the State Committee on Open Government. “There’s never been any indication that disclosure resulted in any jeopardy.”

Edward S. Rudofsky, a New York attorney who specializes in the First Amendment, added, “I don’t see why technology makes this any more or less sensitive than it would otherwise be.”

1% Gore, 99% Goracle

***WARNING: Strong Language***

Wow. Before I write up this little fucking post, I need to vomit …

Sorry if my language offends anyone, but I just can’t hold it in any longer. I blame it all on an extremely licentious, capricious, over-indulged culture and society that bombards us all every day with giant, steaming piles of morally bankrupt crap. In other words, I am a long-time victim of the left’s War on America (snicker). I will soon demand a bailout. But I digress.

What’s got me wrapped around the axle now? Fuckin’ Al Gore! That’s who! This snakeoil salesman of an ex-VP has been pocketing truckfuls of cash promoting his alarmist the-world-is-going-to-end-yesterday catastrophic anthropogenic (man-made) global warming bullshit for years now … and I’m fucking sick of it!

For starters, Uncle Albert is right: there is global warming; it’s called earth’s climate!

There have been times in the earth’s past where the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere were thousands of times greater than they are now, yet life continued to flourish. As a matter of fact, if there was more CO2 in the atmosphere, it would speed up crop and forest regeneration.

But, no, let’s not deal with real science or reality, let’s suspend logic and employ logical fallacies to promote an environmental agenda created primarily by the United Nations—specifically, the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Al Gore, affectionately referred to as The Goracle, or simply Algore, has made numerous fallacious claims regarding the earth’s climate, and atmospheric science in general—which he knows nothing about.

For example, Al Gore claimed in his global warming thriller “An Inconvenient Truth” that higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere preceded periods of warming. In fact, the Vostok Ice Core showed that higher levels of atmospheric CO2 increase following a period of warming—namely, increased levels of CO2 are an apparent result of warming, not the other way around. But that doesn’t stop the Goracle, particularly since he has apparently sold his eternal soul to the Gaia Movement—too much invested in this charade to give up now. Algore is playing for keeps.

Additionally, the Goracle et al. have shamelessly continued to push the notion catastrophic sea level rise will quickly inundate coastlines around the world, causing total devastation and the mass migrations of huge populations across the globe, unless immediate action is taken by governments around the world to prevent it (however you do that).

The fact of the matter is sea-level rise on average can be measured in centimeters, not feet, or tens of feet, like Algore and his minions constantly peddle to the unwashed masses.

It is interesting to note, too, that there were no sea-level experts consulted for the IPCC’s 3rd Assessment report—the report that has, for all intents and purposes, spurred on the entire catastrophic anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (CAGW) alarmist movement in the first place.

I could go on and on about the junk science and the extreme leftist environmental advocacy that underlies and propels the whole “climate change” movement, but that’ll be for another day. I really want to address the colossal hypocrisy of Mr. Al Gore and the apparent contempt that Mr. Gore has for the American citizenry.

Today I learned Algore has pocketed a cool $100 million in his sale of Current TV to none other than Al-Jazeera.

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Glenn Beck’s the Blaze inquired about buying Current last year, but was rejected due to ideological differences. Current leadership told the Blaze at the time that ”the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us.” Beck confirmed the inquiry late Wednesday.

So, while this charlatan fucking maggot Al Gore whoops it up in his mansions, wines and dines with the elites, flies around in his private jet, he stuffs his burgeoning bank account with Arab dollars. So beholden is the Goracle and his treacherous ilk to their neo-religious leftist ideology, they would rather sell their failed network to a bunch of Jew-hating, anti-American, Osama-lovin’, big oil-backed scum, who Gore claims “shares his goals,” rather than to an American they happen to disagree with politically.

WFB reported:

Al Gore’s Current TV confirmed Wednesday evening that it has been sold to Al Jazeera for an estimated $400 to $500 million, with the former vice president set to pocket $100 million from the sale.

In an email sent to Current TV’s staff, co-founder and former chief executive officer Joel Hyatt describes the selling process he and co-founder Al Gore went through in considering sale to Al Jazeera, acknowledging Current TV was a failed model.

Hyatt points to the Al Jazeera’s many accomplishments, including its global reach and for being the “only news network” that Obama-supporter Colin Powell watches, as factors in their decision.

The announcement makes clear that Al Jazeera plans to create a new international news network for an American audience called “Al Jazeera America.”

Hyatt reminds his staff that the Qatari government funds Al Jazeera in the announcement, but fails to mention that the news network is considered by some a political and diplomatic tool for the oil-rich monarchy. Drivers in Qatar currently pay about $1 per gallon at the pump, due to massive oil subsidies handed down by the government.

Algore’s Current TV better run by Islamists than “evil extremist” Glenn Beck, according to snakeoil salesman and fucking maggot Algore.

So, there you have it! While SOB’s like Algore and King Obama live the high-life, fattening their bankrolls in the process, they demand Americans “pay their fair share” and accept being packed and taxed into ever smaller and constricted spaces, thanks to the UN’s Agenda 21 and a plethora of environmental advocacy front groups that happily lap up every single drop of gooey Gaia nuttiness the demigods of climate change can spew forth via resolution and regurgitate it compulsively with religious-like devotion.

In closing, I would like just like to say to Algore and ilk, “Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!!”

Is that mean-spirited?

Don’t ever forget it.

And I’m just getting started!

America’s Forgotten War

The one aspect of the ongoing war in Afghanistan that has always greatly troubled me is the undeniable fact that our civilian leadership—meaning: the Executive and Congress—have completely failed to layout a clear and concise strategy for “victory.”

Sadly, because of this undeniable fact, the war in Afghanistan has run afoul of some all-important,  time-tested military maxims.

For example, Sun Tzu writes in his famous treatise on warfare The Art of War in Chapter II—Waging War:

3. Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of the State will not be equal to the strain.

[...]

6. There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.

Prolonged conflicts demoralize a nation and its military, and drains the treasuries dry. If war is to be engaged in, and we are going to put our own into harm’s way, there must be a strategy for achieving clear objectives employed, not just tactics.

Now, we are seeing something very bad indeed: the American public has become war-weary and the press rarely reports on the war in “The Stan.” Lately, posts about Afghanistan receive very little traffic on my blog.

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

“The New York Timesmedia blog found that public interest in the war in Afghanistan is so low that it did not register as one of the biggest stories of 2012.

The Pew Research Center’s weekly polling on the public’s interest in news stories showed such a low level of interest that the overseas conflicts didn’t make the organization’s list of the year’s top 15 stories.

Nor did the Afghan war come up often when The Associated Press conducted its annual poll of editors and news directors in the United States. The only overseas stories voted to be the year’s top news stories involved Libya and Syria.

Yahoo’s list of the top news stories of the year also omitted the war, and so did a separate list of the top international news stories. Those lists were created by analyzing millions of searches by Yahoo users.

It is hard to say if the amount of interest is low because coverage of the war is scant or if the coverage is scant because interest is low. Either way, the media has focused very little attention on both the president’s use of drone strikes to kill terrorists across the globe as well as the ongoing war in Afghanistan.

Not everyone has forgotten about the troops in Afghanistan, however. Spirit of America’s ‘68,000 Remember‘ campaign, which is collecting photos to create a wall of remembrance for those still serving. Photos can be uploaded to the group’s Facebook page; the photos submitted already can be viewed here.”

I would hope people who feel themselves “war-weary” remember that the true war-weary are the military and their families, who have endured numerous deployments into full-blown combat zones for well over a decade now. We cannot forget them.

When Obama first took office, he stated that “America demands answers ” concerning the Afghan war. Yes, Mr. President, America demands answers. And America would like to know why Obama does not seem to have any answers! He is the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Military the last time I checked.

The Latvian Laboratory

By Daniel Foster
January 2, 2013 1:32 P.M

(NRO)—Some vindictive bastard at the New York Times has ensured that Paul Krugman’s New Year’s hangover is maximally painful with this headline: “Used to Hardship, Latvia Accepts Austerity, and Its Pain Eases”.

The article itself is basically fiscal erotica for the libertarian set. When we had newly-minted Cato president John Allison into NRHQ a couple months ago I remarked that it was a shame we didn’t have a live laboratory to test the hands-off approach to the fiscal crisis he’d long advocated. And we still don’t, really, not for the part about whether letting financial-sector consolidation run its brutal course sans bailouts would have resulted in a deeper recession but a quicker and more robust recovery. But Latvia has shown that tough austerity measures,in a population with an insanely strong work ethic and a high capacity for sacrifice, can work [...]

Putin the Pitiful

By William J. Dobson
January 3, 2013

(Chicago Tribune)—Few modern authoritarians are more image-conscious than Vladimir Putin. For 12 years, we have been treated to the macho displays of the Russian leader as action hero/adventurer: the judo black belt; the shirtless outdoorsman; the deep-sea diver; the motorcycle enthusiast; and most recently, the (slightly softer) supposed savior to a flock of endangered cranes. Less well-known is how carefully scripted Putin’s appearance on Russian television can be, with regime spin doctors dictating media coverage down to the minute. The Kremlin is probably a more poll-driven institution than anything you’ll find in Washington.

That’s why the Russian president’s decision on Friday to sign a piece of legislation forbidding the adoption of Russian children by American citizens appears at first blush to be so oddly tone deaf. The Russian bill will immediately block the adoption of 46 Russian orphans whose applications were nearly complete. It is in retaliation for a U.S. law that targeted corrupt Russian officials who had a connection to the imprisonment and death of Sergei Magnitsky, a lawyer and whistle-blower who had uncovered a massive tax fraud implicating senior Russian officials and police officers. So, with the stroke of a pen, Putin appeared to be rushing to defend venal and most likely criminal Russian officials at the expense of dozens of orphans, not to mention the thousands of other Russian children who would eventually be taken in by American families. The ghastly conditions in Russia’s overburdened orphanages are no secret to Russians. (There are an estimated 120,000 children eligible for adoption. In 2011, Americans adopted 1,000 of the roughly 10,000 children who found homes.) No one has ever accused Putin of being a warm, fatherlike figure. Now he just seems mean.
