Whenever a United States Golf Association champions rolls into town, and steps foot on the Gold Mountain Golf Complex, Bremerton’s Frank Horton is right in the middle of it.

Ryan and Nichole Moore welcome newborn son – healthy and fine

Got an inkling something was going on with Puyallup’s PGA Tour golfer Ryan Moore. And caught Mike and Roxane Moore – Ryan’s parents – in the terminal at Sea-Tac Airport this morning preparing to take a flight to Las Vegas.

Well, it came to fruition at about 2:45 p.m. today – a son was born to Ryan and Nichole Moore, their first child, a couple weeks before the Halloween due date.

Here is the text I got from Mike Moore:

“Baby boy Moore born to Ryan and Nickie at 2:45 p.m. 18.5″ (long), 6 lbs, 8 oz. Baby and mom

Position: Kelly (3-over 143) tied for 109th, and missed the cut by four strokes. Arjun Atwal (10-under 130) is the leader.

Recap: It did not start well – Kelly striped his opening drive into a fairway bunker and made bogey – and the day never really got any better as the Central Kitsap graduate missed his second consecutive cut. After he missed a couple of short par-saving putts at No. 13 (6-footer) and No. 14 (9-footer), it was clear his week was finished.
