The editors at Open Medicine believe that librarians play a crucial role in the dissemination of medical knowledge, and in raising awareness and understanding of information technologies available to support medical practice.

As part of our mission to facilitate the dissemination of high-quality health research and to promote international dialogue and collaboration on health issues, Open Medicine is committed to fostering collaboration with health libraries and librarians.

Our medical librarian, Dean Giustini, will represent Open Medicine at library conferences and events, and will respond to questions on e-mail listservs and blogs on our behalf.

Dean will also author the Open Medicine blog, which will focus on open-access issues in global health and medical research.

Librarians considering information displays about Open Medicine in their libraries, or adding a proper MARC record to library catalogues, are encouraged to email Dean.
