Montana's At-Large Congressional District
Montana's Congressman Denny Rehberg is the only Representative from Montana. Montana is one of just 7 states that have an at-large Representative in Congress. The others are Alaska, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Delaware.
Montana is 147,046 square miles, making it the second largest Congressional District. For comparison, the smallest Congressional District is New York's 15th which is 10 square miles.
Montana has more people than any other Congressional district – by a large margin. The average district size is 646,259 people, while Montana has a population of 967,440 people.
