Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Judy Biggert (R-IL-13^th) today issued the following statement today regarding the tragic attack in Libya that resulted in the death of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens:

            “My heart goes out to the families of those who were killed in this tragic and unjustifiable attack on our diplomatic personnel in Libya.   Just hours after the anniversary of 9/11, we are reminded once again of the painful sacrifices that so many have paid in the pursuit of peace.  Ambassador Stevens and his colleagues were dedicated to freedom and liberty for America and her allies around the world.  They will be mourned by millions here at home and abroad, and I know I join all my colleagues in seeking swift justice for those responsible.”
