    There's such a European look to the architecture and landscaping, I had to do a double-take to be sure it said this was D.C.

    The people in it are intriguing, too; I wonder whether they were models or actual servicemen and their dates? I like how the polka-dotted woman's right arm is motion-blurred, and how neatly the stripe-skirted lady's feet are pressed together.

    @Dayetriper: There are some stairs that go up either side of the building which John would have been standing on looking down. Those fancy lanterns are at the base of the large marble banisters.
