    H. M. Queen Elena of Italy (1873-1952) was considered the most influential Montenegrin of the 20th Century because of her role as Queen of Italy. She helped to secure the independence of Montenegro. See:

    John George Alexander Leishman (1857-1924) was an American steel making tycoon and diplomat. He rose from a position of mud clerk at Shoenberger Iron and Steel to become the President of the Carnegie Steel Company, Pittsburgh . Mr. Leishman saved the life of Henry Clay Frick during the assassination attempt by Alexander Berkman. He was appointed U S ambassador to Switzerland and later served as ambassador to Turkey, Italy and Berlin. See a brief biography of this accomplished man at:
