The Office of Congressman H. Morgan Griffith (VA-09) is seeking applicants for the 2013 Spring Internship Program (mid-January to mid-May) in his Washington, D.C. office. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing constituent services including answering phone calls, sorting mail, and recording opinions on legislative matters; assisting constituents in their visits to Washington, D.C. including researching tourist locations, and giving tours of the Capitol; conducting research for staff members on various issues; any other duties that may be assigned. Virginia ties and college students or recent grads are preferred, but not required. Please note that the internship is unpaid and housing is not provided. However, our office is happy to work with college students to help them obtain course credits for their work. Interested applicants should e-mail a cover letter and resume to Danielle Barrow (Intern Coordinator) at danielle.barrow@mail.house.gov with “Spring Internship 2013” as the subject. Applications should be received no later than Friday, December 7th, 2012.
