Hinsdale, IL – U.S. Representative Judy Biggert (R-IL-13th), Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit, today issued the following statement in response to the President’s nomination of Steve Preston as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): 
 
             “Steve Preston is an excellent choice.  He has a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and sound fiscal management at both the Small Business Administration and at Service Master in Illinois.  Under his management, I’m confident that HUD will be an active and effective partner in the fight to help Americans keep their homeownership dreams alive.
