Biggert to Receive Honorary Degree from Lewis University
Lewis University, Student Recreation and Fitness Center Field House, One University Parkway, Romeoville, IL

LewisUniversitywill present Biggert with an honorary Doctorate of Humanities degree during Sunday’s commencement ceremony held on the Romeoville Campus.  Biggert will provide brief remarks during the ceremony, at which an estimated 600 students will receive diplomas for their undergraduate degrees.

Biggert will tour TLC Ingredients, a Crest Hill company founded in 2001 that distributes raw materials, ingredients, and food additives for a variety of industries.

At the Romeoville Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Breakfast, Biggert will provide an update about federal legislation advancing in Congress that will impact local small businesses and community members.

Biggert to Present Hinsdale Girl Scouts with Bronze Award
MadisonSchool,611 South Madison, Hinsdale, IL

Biggert will offer congratulatory remarks and take part in an award ceremony for fifth grade recipients of the Girl Scout Bronze Award.  A former Girl Scout, Biggert will honor students earning the highest achievement that a Junior Girl Scout can earn through 15 hours of service and six to eight badges.

Biggert to Host Education Roundtable

As a senior member on the House Education and the Workforce Committee, Biggert will discuss the upcoming reauthorization of federal K-12 education guidelines with DuPage County school superintendents, school board members, and educators.  Biggert will seek input on needed reforms to the federal education policy, formerly referred to as No Child Left Behind.
