Francisco Macías, a Senior Legal Information Analyst, joined the Law Library of Congress in 2007. He is a content author for the Global Legal Information Network Facebook page and assistant editor of the GLIN Global Journal. He is the translator of De cruz y media luna/From Cross and Crescent Moon by Elvia Ardalani and Selected Poems of César Antonio Molina by His Excellency César Antonio Molina. He also copyedited Miguel Hernández desde América by editors A.L. Larrabide and E. Ardalani. Francisco holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and was the first to receive a biliterate certification from the University of Texas at Brownsville. He is a member of Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society. He obtained a Master of Arts in English Literature from Colorado State University at Fort Collins. At the Catholic University of America he was a graduate student of Spanish Literature and an adjunct instructor. Later he was an adjunct professor of ESL at Prince George’s Community College. Francisco enjoys cooking and serving the community. In the outskirts of Harlingen, Texas there is a ranch-style home that he designed for a friend who had lost her home in a fire.
