Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Charles B. Rangel joined 44 of his Colleagues from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Pennsylvania in sending a letter to President Barack Obama with several requests to augment federal disaster relief assistance for the FY 2013 and 2014 fiscal budgets.
"I join millions of Americans in sharing our blessings and celebrating them with loved ones, family and friends on this special holiday. This is a time to thank our soldiers, veterans and their families for keeping us safe, and extend ourselves to neighbors who are in need."
“I encourage all non-profit groups in our City to take advantage of these federal disaster relief loans,” Rangel said. “These loans will assist in the recovery effort for organizations that were affected by one of the most severe storms our region has ever faced."
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, Congressman Charles B. Rangel (D-NY), Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ), John Larson (D-Conn.) and Joe Crowley (D-NY), all members of the tax writing Committee on Ways and Means, announced they are working on legislation in concert with Governors from New Jersey, New York and Connecticut to provide tax relief to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
