Tipton Supports Plan to Lower Health Care Costs and Increase Access to Care for all Americans

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO) issued this statement in support of H.R. 6079, the Repeal of Obamacare Act.

“Today, we voted in the House to remove a law that puts into place the largest tax increase on American families in history, increases health care costs, decreases health care options for seniors, and restricts access to care. I believe that there are better solutions to reform health care in this country that should include a market-driven approach that encourages competition and empowers states to expand pools to provide coverage for pre-existing conditions, while keeping the promise to seniors by protecting and sustaining Medicare, and keeping critical care decisions between patients and their doctors. These are some of the ideas that I support as the House continues its effort to repeal and replace the President’s health care law with solutions that would ensure low cost, high quality care for all Americans.”
