Regarding the bombing of the Social Security office in Casa Grande first, I want to say how thankful I am that no one was injured and that law enforcement was able to identify and apprehend the suspect in a timely and safe manner...no amount of violence will deter the American people from their unshakable faith in God, our Constitution, and our true American values.

- I applaud Governor Brewer’s decision to reject implementing the Obamacare exchange in Arizona. State-based exchanges put in place a one-size-fits-all health insurance regime which is contrary to the patient-centered and patient-friendly plans I support and Americans deserve. The Governor’s decision protects Arizonans from the additional costs and burdens of this program which leaves many questions unanswered.

This afternoon starting at 2:00pm (Eastern), the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Republicans will be holding a hearing entitled “1 in 88 Children: A Look Into the Federal Response to Rising Rates of Autism.” This hearing will look at rise of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis, and the federal government's role in researching ASD.U.S. Rep. I wanted to share this photo of the first F-35 squadron from MCAS Yuma with you. The F-35 program gives the United States and its allies technological superiority in the skies. I remain grateful to the men and women who contributed to the Joint Strike Fighter mission.
- I made a promise to my constituents to not raise taxes, and I intend to keep that promise while finding a solution to the fiscal cliff. Though I respect Grover Norquist and his organization tremendously, my opposition to legislation which would raise taxes has nothing to do with him or his pledge—it is about principles.
Simple economics and common sense say we cannot tax our way out of the fiscal problems that face our nation. We must make significant cuts to existing programs, take meaningful action with entitlement reform and not allow out-of-control spending to continue.

Earlier this summer, the House passed my amendment to prohibit the use of military funds and military assistance to the Muslim Brotherhood, Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah. These groups that harbor hate towards our friend and ally Israel should not receive a dime of taxpayer dollars.

Hours after the President won re-election, the United States championed...the U.N. committee’s decision to renew talks on an international treaty regulating global arms trade.See More
The U.S. should not adopt any treaty that poses a threat to national sovereignty or abridges the right to bear arms - guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Our resolutions assures the President that if approved, the treaty will be nonbinding and will not receive any federal funding without Congressional approval.- As part of the Mayor’s Block Party in Casa Grande, my District Office at 211 N.
