Thank you Congressman Scott Tipton for the photo.
  2. Photo: It was great meeting and speaking with tribal leaders today on Capitol Hill. I have strongly maintained the federal government's treaty obligations to Native Americans, and I have been a proponent of true tribal sovereignty.
  3. Photo: I want to commend Jennifer Foster, a dispatcher from Pinal County, for sharing a photo that she took of NYPD Officer Lawrence Deprimo buying a new pair of boots for a homeless man on a cold November night. Thank you for sharing this picture with the world and making Arizona proud. Thank you Officer Deprimo for reminding us that sometimes the simplest of actions can make a great difference.

  4. Photo: I applaud Governor Brewer’s decision to reject implementing the Obamacare exchange in Arizona. State-based exchanges put in place a one-size-fits-all health insurance regime which is contrary to the patient-centered and patient-friendly plans I support and Americans deserve. The Governor’s decision protects Arizonans from the additional costs and burdens of this program which leaves many questions unanswered.

  6. Photo: Thank you for the birthday wishes.
  7. Photo: I had a great time writing Holiday Mail for Heroes with the American Red Cross. This holiday season I ask that you please keep the brave members of our armed services in your thoughts and prayers.

As the premiere aviation training facility in the Marine Corps, the basing of the Corps' first operational squadron in Yuma solidifies the future of Marine tactical aviation training in Southern Arizona. 12. Photo: I am proud the Department of Defense chose to place a number of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter warplanes in Arizona.

The F-35 program is vital to our national security, which is the primary constitutional responsibility of the federal government. Further, our state will benefit from the economic activity that stems from the production of these planes and the testing at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale.
