On Thursday, July 26, 2012, the House is scheduled to consider H.Res. 741, a resolution providing for further consideration of the bill (H.R. 4078) Red Tape Reduction and Small Business Job Creation Act, as reported by the Rules Committee.  The rule would provide that the amendment to H.R. 4078 printed in section 2 of the resolution shall be considered as adopted in the House and in the Committee of the Whole.  H.R. 4078 was introduced by Rep. Tim Griffin (R-AR) on February 17, 2012, and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.  On July 25, 2012, the House began consideration of the bill in spite of a typographical error in the legislative text as reported.

The amendment printed in section 2 of the resolution is as follows: “In section 102(b), strike ‘employment’ and insert ‘unemployment’.”
