On Tuesday, June 26, 2012, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 3593, under a suspension of the rules requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  H.R. 3593 was introduced by Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-NY) on December 7, 2011, and referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

This legislation would designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 787 State Route 17M in Monroe, New York, as the “National Clandestine Service of the Central Intelligence Agency NCS Officer Gregg David Wenzel Memorial Post Office.”

A graduate of the first post-9/11 CIA training class, Gregg David Wenzel was an operations officer of the Central Intelligence Agency killed in Ethiopia by a drunk driver in 2003 while deployed. 

According to CBO, any costs related to new post office designations, which include the cost of changing the name on the building, signs, and maps, are not significant.
