NEUGEBAUER STATEMENT ON "SERGEANT CHRIS DAVIS POST OFFICE" RENAMING CEREMONY

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) issued the following statement regarding today’s official dedication ceremony to rename the U.S. Post Office at 5014 Gary Avenue in Lubbock, TX as the “Sergeant Chris Davis Post Office.”

“I am honored to be a part of this special day for the Davis family. Today marks the end of a long process to honor and celebrate the life of one of Lubbock’s fallen sons. Sergeant Davis served his country with pride and honor, and will be remembered by all who knew him.

“Now his name will be permanently fixed on the post office on Gary Avenue so that we will remember his service, and never forget that freedom is not free. We have liberty and freedom today because thousands of military men and women have given of themselves to defend our nation in time of need. Our gratitude is never-ending, and we will never forget their sacrifices.”
