Regarding the bombing of the Social Security office in Casa Grande first, I want to say how thankful I am that no one was injured and that law enforcement was able to identify and apprehend the suspect in a timely and safe manner...no amount of violence will deter the American people from their unshakable faith in God, our Constitution, and our true American values.

Please join me in sending your thoughts and prayers to the 400 employees who were affected in today's layoffs at the Resolution Copper Mines. I will continue to fight to get the land exchange passed in the Senate. We must end the partisan gamesmanship which led to my bill sitting in the US Senate for over a year.- I want to commend Jennifer Foster, a dispatcher from Pinal County, for sharing a photo that she took of NYPD Officer Lawrence Deprimo buying a new pair of boots for a homeless man on a cold November night. Thank you for sharing this picture...with the world and making Arizona proud. Thank you Officer Deprimo for reminding us that sometimes the simplest of actions can make a great difference.See More

State-based exchanges put in place a one-size-fits-all health insurance regime which is contrary to the patient-centered and patient-friendly plans I support and Americans deserve. The Governor’s decision protects Arizonans from the additional costs and burdens of this program which leaves many questions unanswered.

I wanted to share this photo of the first F-35 squadron from MCAS Yuma with you. The F-35 program gives the United States and its allies technological superiority in the skies. I remain grateful to the men and women who contributed to the Joint Strike Fighter mission.- I made a promise to my constituents to not raise taxes, and I intend to keep that promise while finding a solution to the fiscal cliff. Though I respect Grover Norquist and his organization tremendously, my opposition to legislation which would raise taxes has nothing to do with him or his pledge—it is about principles.
Simple economics and common sense say we cannot tax our way out of the fiscal problems that face our nation. We must make significant cuts to existing programs, take meaningful action with entitlement reform and not allow out-of-control spending to continue.
The Americans for Tax Reform Pledge is simply a tangible document that anyone can reference to know my point of view. U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS (AZ-01) shared a link.

- As unrest continues in the Middle East and rockets fly over Tel Aviv, I ask that you please keep the people of Israel in your thoughts and prayers. I stand strongly with our ally Israel.
