The Board of Ada County Commissioners regrettably announces the resignation of Ada County Paramedics Director, Troy Hagen this week.  Hagen has taken a position as President/CEO of Care Ambulance Service in southern California, a wholly owned subsidiary of Falck International, the largest private ambulance service provider in the world with locations across the entire globe. He will remain with Ada County through the first week of January.

The Board of Ada County Commissioners is currently seeking an individual interested in volunteering their time to serve on Ada County’s Weed, Pest & Mosquito Abatement Advisory Committee. This is a volunteer position. Interested applicants must live in and own a residence in Ada County within the mosquito abatement district, and must be a registered voter.

This week, a number of local citizens have contacted the Ada County Jury Office indicating they have received text messages, phone calls, and potentially even letters regarding a warrant for failure to appear for jury duty.

Ada County residents living in unincorporated Ada County will soon notice an increase in their trash collection rates, that’s because on October 30, 2012 the Board of Ada County Commissioners, in a 2 to 1 vote, approved a 1.99% increase in trash collection rates for rural areas of the county not currently within a city’s limits. The new rate was anticipated and was included in the most recent billing, which is due November 14, 2012.

Early Voting ended today at 5pm. However, the last voter to arrive at five waited in line until 6:54pm before she finally cast her ballot.
