Post observing Wounded Warriors Month
November is Wounded Warrior Care month and the Fort Sill Warrior Transition Unit has scheduled a number of events, according to Muhammad Ali, Information Referral and Outreach coordinator. He explained that the warrior care month is open to the Fort Sill community. "The care month emphasis is to highlight services that are offered to the wounded Soldiers, and it's not limited to just Soldiers in the WTU. It is also for Soldiers on Fort Sill who may not be assigned to the WTU or Soldiers who are getting out of the military, via medical board or expiration of term of service," said Ali. BERTAUD WINS LEGION AERIAL DERBY RACE.

Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 2, 1921.—Lloyd Bertaud of New York won the American Legion aerial derby race over a 140-mile triangular course here this afternoon. His time was sixty minutes 14 2-5 seconds.
Lieutenant J. W. Givens, Fort Sill, Ok., was second, his time sixty-six minutes 15 1-5 seconds. Third and fourth places were won respectively by C.R. Wrightsman, Tulsa, Ok., time sixty –seven minutes 17 4-5 seconds, and Lieutenant Wagoner, Fort Sill, Ok., time sixty-seven minutes 55 1-5 seconds.
The Derby race was over a 140-mile triangular course of eight laps. The prizes awarded follow: First, $3,000 and the Kansas City Rotary Club trophy cup which, to become a permanent possession, must be won twice in legion event; second, $1,500; third $750, fourth $500 (Dallas Morning News).
