INDIANOLA STUDENT NOMINATED BY LATHAM OFFERED APPOINTMENT TO NAVAL ACADEMYIowa Congressman Tom Latham announced today that an Indianola student has been offered an appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Brandon Aldred, a senior at Indianola High School, was sent an offer of appointment to attend the Academy as a member of the Class of 2017. Congressman Latham nominated Aldred to the U.S. service academies after his office worked with Aldred on the application process. Latham phoned Aldred Monday in regards to the offer of appointment to the Naval Academy. “I was deeply proud to recommend Brandon for an appointment to the United States Naval Academy, and I am excited for the opportunities that await him,” Congressman Latham said. “Brandon’s dedication to his studies, his school, and the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps has prepared him well for the Naval Academy’s rigorous standards and enriching challenges.
