Which plan do you support?

House Republicans leaders recently offered a counter-proposal to President Obama’s opening offer in the negotiations to avert the fiscal cliff. Based on the proposal by Erskine Bowles, the former Chief of Staff to President Clinton and the co-chairman of President Obama’s deficit reduction commission, this proposal builds on bipartisan discussions to reduce the deficit.

Unlike President Obama’s plan, it does not include any new “stimulus” spending nor does it include a permanent increase in the nation’s statutory debt limit. Below is a comparison of the two plans:

Based on this information, would you support President Obama’s plan, the counter offered by Speaker Boehner and House Republican leaders, or neither plan? I would support President Obama’s plan.
I would support the House Republican counter offer.
