Release - Rokita: Federal Court Made Right Call on Obama Labor Appointments, in Line with January 2012 Letter
Rep. Todd Rokita today issued the following statement regarding the U.S. Appeals Court decision that ruled ‘recess’ appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) by President Obama in 2012 were unconstitutional. In January 2012, Rokita led 26 House colleagues in the 112th Congress in sending a letter to the president in protest of the appointments, calling them “unconstitutional and an egregious display of executive overreach.”

Release - Rokita Leads House Letter to President: New Gun Control Measures are a ‘Constitutional Non-Starter’
U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita today led 42 House colleagues in sending a letter to President Obama vowing to protect Second Amendment rights from federal overreach, and expressing concern that new gun control measures will not prevent future tragedies similar to last month’s school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita, a member of the House Budget Committee, today voted to require members of each house of Congress to pass a budget by the legally required deadline of April 15 in order to receive their paychecks.
