- Speaking with the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce this morning. We discussed activities at the lab, tax issues for small business, and other challenges that our businesses face.
- I had a great lunch with the Hunt for Warriors, a program which helps wounded warriors go hunting. The program provides for great experiences and helps warriors overcome injuries while doing something they love.
- I had a great meeting with the Professional Insurance Agents of Tennessee this morning. We discussed the federal budget, spending issues, and the challenges facing small businesses.
- I really enjoyed my Chuck on the job shift at the Highway 27 construction project. This $102 million project is the 2nd biggest in the state and will significantly improve traffic flow.
- I'm looking forward to starting another Chuck on the Job shift tomorrow. I'll be helping with the highway 27 construction project in Chattanooga.
- October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month so let's remember to Think Pink and work for the cure! Breast cancer is a horrible disease which affects our mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, and even some men. Together we can find a cure.
