As a resident of South Lake Tahoe I applaud your efforts and attention you have given to our area. It is indeed the jewel of the Sierra and should be preserved for the future. Thank you! Michelle, South Lake Tahoe
Thank you for your work to pass the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act of 2011. This area is important for many reasons, and I am glad that future generations will be able to enjoy it as well. Thank you for your work and I hope that you will continue to support bills of this nature! Elizabeth, Stockton
How does the taxpayer benefit from S.432? How much is this going to cost U.S tax payers? Why was it so critical to spend money, that we don't have, on this during a time of deep national debt? Is S.432 in the best interest of the tax payers? Isn't it time to tighten the national spending belt? Afterall, we citizens are forced to do it. John, Granite Bay
TRPA has already destroyed private business and tourism in Lake Tahoe. Their rules and regulations are so numerous that no one can afford to take a boat there. Their "goal #10" is to remove all motorized water craft from the lake. We have taken our boat away from there and moved it to the state of Washington. Therefore all our boat dollars are spent in Washington. Herbert, Meadow Vista
I've experienced the beauty of Lake Tahoe on many occasions, and with your help, my children and grandchildren will be able to do the same. You can count on me for support. Michael, Huntington Beach
This truly is a national treasure that should be protected for all time. Jerry, San Diego
Lake Tahoe is very important to me and my family. My parents were married in Agate Bay on Christmas Eve 41 years ago, and my husband’s family grew up with a 1930's cabin on the West shore. Thank you for helping protect this amazing place so that we can share it's pristine beauty without future children and grandchildren as well. Keep Tahoe Blue! Claire, Ventura
Congratulations on this important Bill to help restore Lake Tahoe. It is a national treasure. Jack, Auburn
By your own admission, over 1 billion dollars has been dumped into Lake Tahoe and the clarity and water table have continued to decline. It is obvious that you have no idea what you are doing. Sally, Pollock Pines
What does "Restore" mean? Does it mean giving it back to the Native American tribe that lived there before 1840? Does it mean tearing out all of the structures and letting it return to what it once was? Does it mean removing all the planted fish along with the homes that are in the natural filter that once kept the silt from running into the lake? Does it mean to make it like it was in the 1860s when all the trees were gone and the lake was a commercial fishery? or, does it mean making it like someone's or some groups idea of what they think it should be. The latter is usually what happens, creating the most turmoil, costing the most and interfering with the rights of the property owners and the visitors to the lake. Carol, Napa
