STEARNS ATTENDING OCALA'S MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY EVENT

WILL MAKE BRIEF REMARKS IN HONOR OF DR. KING ON MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 2010
 

Washington, Jan 15, 2010 - WASHINGTON, JAN. 15, 2010 – Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Ocala) will take part in celebrating Martin Luther King Day in Ocala on January 18, 2010. The event in Ocala will begin with a walk starting at the town square at 9:00 AM and ending at the MLK Park. Stearns will make remarks at 10:00 AM at the MLK Complex, 1510 NW 4th and SR 40.

“I look forward to celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.,” said Stearns. “In setting aside this day to honor Dr. King, we also renew our commitment to the goals he sought: freedom and opportunity for all Americans. He did not ignore adversity, he confronted it, and he overcame it, setting an example for all to follow.”
