UN Climate Change secretariat and Rockefeller Foundation launch initiative to

Together with the Rockefeller Foundation, the UN Climate Change secretariat has
launched a new initiative to recognize the critical role of women in fighting climate
change: "Momentum for Change: Women for Results."

government and business leadership on climate change

The UN Climate Change secretariat and the Climate Group today announced a strategic
partnership which aims to encourage the mutually reinforcing leadership of business and
of government at all levels by combining the efforts of their respective global
initiatives to help raise awareness: the Climate Group's "Clean
Revolution" campaign and the UN Climate Change Secretariat's "Momentum
for Change" initiative.

New alliance launched to help bring about behavioral change

The UNFCCC secretariat, together with FAO, UNEP, UNESCO, UNFCCC, UNICEF, UNITAR and
WMO, has launched the UN Alliance on Climate Change Education, Training and Public
Awareness. The Alliance will support the new Doha work programme on Article 6 of the
Convention, as well as report regularly on these activities through an annual
dialogue on Article 6.

UNFCCC secretariat achieves aim of full climate neutrality by end of
2012

The UNFCCC secretariat has achieved its aim of full climate neutrality by the end of
2012, through emission avoidance and reduction, plus an offsetting scheme using
Adaptation Fund CERs for the remaining balance.
