Immediately after the September 2011 flood, I spent a great deal of time visiting Northeastern Pennsylvania and surveying the destruction caused by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Like many other businesses in the area, the Shickshi...nny Post Office was unable to reopen after the disaster. To ensure residents of the area regained access to necessary services provided by the post office, I sent a letter to Ms. Megan Brennan, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the United States Postal Service (USPS), and Mr. Kevin McAdams, Manager of Consumer and Industry of the USPS in the Central Pennsylvania District. Today, I congratulate USPS for reopening the Shickshinny Post Office, which will resume normal operating hours. http://bit.ly/U9M9T6See More- As you head out to stores on Black Friday, I encourage you to shop at small businesses.
