Ms. Tenniston's 16-year old daughter Kerry was one of the 3 civil disobedience protesters arrested in the first round of arrests; 14 people including the Reverend Jesse Jackson were arrested yesterday in Freeport for civil disobedience;
o The two NLRB complaints were for unfair labor practices brought on because of the employee protests:
(1) "company retaliation" (restricting employee movements around the plant)
(2) "threats to employees" (saying company will shut down immediately if protests continue, even though they are legal)
- Josh Shapiro, Montgomery County Commissioner (PA). Montgomery County is one of Philadelphia's collar counties and one of the most contested areas in the state. Mitt Romney and the First Lady have both held rallies there in the past two months. Montgomery County is the 3rd largest county in PA with 800,000 residents. He is chair of the 1st Democratic-controlled Board in more than 140yrs.
