A woman found dead Thursday in a wooded area in Kansas City, North, was identified by police today as a 49-year-old resident of Kansas City, Kan.
The body of Denise J. Streeter was discovered Thursday afternoon on private property adjacent to Platte Purchase Park.A person walking in the area called 911 about 2 p.m. after noticing the body in tall grass in a wooded area next to the park at N.W. 100th Street and North Platte Purchase Drive.Police called the death suspicious and homicide detectives were investigating.
