UNT System
On June 6, 2012, Alexandria Perez was sworn in as the 2012-2013 Student Regent for the University of North Texas System. She is a graduate student at the University of North Texas at Dallas and the first student from that campus to be appointed a Student Regent by the Governor. Chairman Jack Wall (L) administered the oath and Chancellor Lee Jackson (R) assisted.
Appointed by the governor of Texas, the Board of Regents is the governing body of the University of North Texas System, which consists of the University of North Texas, the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth, and the UNT Dallas Campus.
