California Housing Recovery Initiative

The California Housing Recovery Initiative delivers free housing services at a host of events held around the state. Struggling homeowners who are behind on their mortgage are encouraged to bring any records they have of communication with their lenders and/or servicers and full details of their loan, including property address, loan number and mortgage amount. New prospective homebuyers, on the other hand, will have the chance to get acquainted with the benefits of local homebuyer certification courses and down payment assistance programs.

All services are intended to promote sustainable homeownership by empowering consumers with information and knowledge.
