Wikipedia Loves Smithsonian Libraries
On Friday, October 12, 2012, the local chapter of Wikimedia DC joined with Smithsonian Staff in the Smithsonian Libraries' Natural History Main Library for a day of training new users and editing Wikipedia using Smithsonian resources.

- The day started with much excitement (and jealousy, dare we say):
- Mary Augusta Thomas, Deputy Director of the Smithsonian Libraries gave a wonderful introduction, including a history of the Smithsonian Libraries.
- Sara Snyder (username sarasays), from the Archives of American Art led everyone in an overview of the editing process.
- We spent the morning learning intently on how to edit Wikipedia:
