ALUMNUS JONES NAMED ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER

jones_harlan.jpg Harlan Jones, PhD, recently joined UNT Health Science Center as assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Immunology in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Jones returned to the health science center after spending two years as a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

He earned his bachelor of science degree at Louisiana State University, his master of science degree at Southern University in Louisiana and his doctorate at the health science center.

Dr. Jones’ research interests include the investigation of how stress affects the progression of chronic diseases.

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he currently resides in Fort Worth.
