Miller Named Top Doctoral Student of Public Health Management and Policy at UNT Health Science Center

Thadeuss L. Miller, MPH, was named the outstanding public health doctoral student of in health management and policy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Miller is a native of Stephenville. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University, holding a bachelor of arts degree in English. He earned a master of public health degree from the health science center.

Miller was also the 1st place winner of the public health oral competition at the 14th annual Research Appreciation Day in April and has recently published original research in the Annals of Epidemiology and the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association. He is currently employed by the Department of Internal Medicine at the health science center where he is participating in health policy research for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, directed at tuberculosis elimination efforts.

Miller received the award at the School of Public Health’s annual awards banquet May 5.
