Cage Promoted to Associate Professor at UNT Health Science Center

CliftonCage.jpg A. Clifton Cage, DO, ACOFP, assistant professor of family medicine at UNT Health Science Center, was recently promoted to associate professor.

Dr. Cage is also director of the center for clinical drug trials for the Department of Family Medicine, located at the central clinic. He also serves as the medical director for the Health Psychology Preceptor Program. His research interests include clinical trials in diabetes and hypercholesterolemia and change in health behavior.

A native of Haverton, Pa., Dr. Cage earned a bachelor of science degree in natural sciences from Muhlenberg College and a doctor of osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Cage also holds certifications from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, the American Osteopathic Board of General Practice and the National Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.

He currently resides in Weatherford.
