Ignacy Gryczynski Joins UNT Health Science Center's Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
Ignacy Gryczynski, PhD, recently joined UNT Health Science Center’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as a professor with joint appointments in the Departments of Cell Biology and Genetics and Molecular Biology and Immunology.Dr. Gryczynski was a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland at Baltimore’s School of Medicine. He also served as an advisory board member of the Center for Fluorescence Spectroscopy at the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
Dr. Gryczynski’s major area of research is fluorescence spectroscopy and its application in biochemistry and biology, which will lead to interdisciplinary research projects. A native of Walcz, Poland, Dr. Gryczynski earned a master of science and doctorate degree in physics from the University of Gdansk.
He currently resides in Fort Worth.
