EXPLORE FIVE EXCITING CITIES IN ONE NIGHT AT BLACK-TIE GALA

FORT WORTH, Texas— If touring 10 countries in two weeks sounds like a whirlwind trip, imagine exploring five of the world’s most exciting cities in a single evening.

This international tour, “A Night on the Town,” will be held the evening of April 6, 2002, at Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth. All proceeds benefit the University of North Texas Health Science Center Foundation.

Steel drums and tiki torches will introduce visitors to Kingston, Jamaica, as they begin their evening of international delights. Tourists will also visit Marrakech, Morocco, a virtual casbah of sweet scents, palms, and soft music. In Paris, they will experience hot jazz at a sidewalk café. Flamenco dancers and Latin beats will fill the magical Mediterranean garden in Barcelona, Spain. And what world tour would be complete without country swing and cowboy cuisine from Fort Worth?

Honorary Chair is U.S. Rep. Kay Granger. Committee co-chairs are Robert and Marie Lansford.

City Underwriters receive 10 passports, enjoy a private VIP reception, and a key to their specific city, for contributing at the $10,000 level. Gold Tour Sponsors also receive 10 passports and enjoy a private VIP reception, for $5,000. Silver Tour sponsors receive 10 guest “passports” for $3,000. A limited number of individual tickets are available at each level.

City Underwriters include Dr. Carl and Mary Hope Everett, Carter & Burgess and Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth.

Tourists are encouraged to wear black tie or a costume representing one of the five cities. For more information, call Pam Maltby at the UNT Health Science Center Foundation at 817-735-5034.
