Research

The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center provides many opportunities for clinical research during graduate medical education. In addition to clinical research and industry-sponsored clinical trials being conducted within clinical departments, the Health Institutes of Texas conduct research in a wide variety of basic, translational, and clinical domains. The profession-wide Osteopathic Research Center is also located on the campus of the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

The Adeline and George McQueen Foundation Center for Research Management oversees all aspects of research at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. All research involving human subjects must be approved by the Institutional Review Board and conducted in accordance with federal regulations to protect human subjects. Faculty mentors are available to assist in the development and implementation of research projects. Residents and fellows are encouraged to disseminate their research findings and participate in poster and oral presentation competitions during the annual Research Appreciation Day. Please direct inquiries regarding clinical research to the office of the TCOM Associate Dean for Clinical Research at 817.735.5410.
