Deadline Nov. 16 to submit time for hourly employees

The deadline to submit time for hourly employees for the Nov. 1-15 time period is
5 p.m. Nov. 16.

Timekeepers normally would have up to three days for time entry and approval, but the date is Nov. 16, due to State of Texas payroll deadlines and the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 22-23.

The Business Service Center understands that this is an extremely tight turn-around. However we have noted some helpful information to minimize the burden:

  • Get as much time entered and approved before Nov. 15 as possible. Allow the hourlies to submit Nov. 1-13 or 14, and then enter and approve that time. Then timekeepers only need to enter a day or two before 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16.
  • The BSC Payroll Time and Labor team is more than happy to run Time Administration on-demand. Time Administration is the process that must run after time is entered for timekeepers to be able to approve it. The BSC cannot run it between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (this is the normal, daily scheduled run of Time Administration) but we can run the process at any other time. To have Time Administration run on-demand, email Payroll@untsytem.edu, call toll free to 855-868-4357 or 940-369-5500.
  • Be prepared to provide the Dynamic Group ID, or the Employee ID and Record Number. The BSC Payroll Time and Labor team will be available until 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16 to catch any late Time Administration requests.
  • The Supplemental Payroll deadline for Nov. 1-15 is noon Dec. 3 for the hourly employees to be paid on Dec. 4 or later with a paper check.

Please communicate to the BSC any unusual circumstances and we will work with you to meet the deadline in any way we can.
