This course will help you enhance your skills conducting comprehensive and legal interviews which will enable you to select the best candidate. The training will include the following topics: preparing for an interview, setting the tone, gathering information from applicants, what are legal and illegal questions, closing an interview, and scenario-based exercises.

 HRS Employee Relations and EEO Panel Q&A

 Have you ever had questions that you wanted to ask Employee Relations or EEO? Are you familiar with the policies and procedures here at the HSC? This session is an opportunity for you to get to know the Employee Relations and EEO team. They will cover a wide range of topics. This session is open to both employees and Supervisors.

Understanding the At-Will Environment

This session will provide employees with a better understanding of what employment-at-will is and how it will impact our campus policies including corrective/disciplinary action.

Managing In an At-Will Environment

This session will provide supervisors with a better understanding of what employment-at-will is and to understand what other resources are available to help you in your role as a manager.

What is EAP & How Can the EAP Help Me?

This session will explain in detail the components of the Employee Assistance Program and how employees can best utilize the program as issues arise.

Leveraging the EAP to Improve Employee Performance

This session will explain the components of the Employee Assistance Program and how supervisors can effectively utilize the program to address employee performance or conduct issues.

Effective Employee Relations

This session will provide an overview of effective employee relations with regards to employee development, employee performance management, counseling, and discipline/corrective action. It will also provide supervisors with a complete toolkit of resources to ensure expectations are communicated and met in a supervisor/employee relationship.
