Recycling Program

After reviewing the responses to our recycling survey and receiving suggestions and comments from faculty & staff, we have decided to implement a few changes in our recycling program.

In order to improve the recycling efforts campus wide, we will be picking up the majority of the paper recycling in EAD, RES, LIB and CBH buildings on the day shift starting Monday, November 12th.

This will ensure:
the recycling is going into the proper waste stream,
increase the amount of recycling collected,
allow the second shift more time for other duties.

The custodial staff will be making rounds between the hours of 1:30-3:30 pm daily.

We ask that all paper recycling be set outside your department door in the hallway during these hours for pick up unless we have made other arrangements with you previously. Preferably it should be in one container per department and the container may be a cardboard box clearly marked “RECYCLING”. We have plenty of boxes if anyone needs them.

Outlying buildings on campus will continue to be picked up on the second shift for now.

Recycling in PCC will continue to be picked up on the second shift.

Departments/clinics which are not located on campus will continue to have their recycling picked up on the second shift.

Any department requiring special pick up arrangements, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.
