Katy Lee Kemp has been in higher education and support services for 10 years and enjoys connecting students to resources and helping them develop a plan for success. She earned a BA in English Literature from UNT and a Master's in Higher Education from UNT.
Kristina Clark
Assistant Director of Disability Accommodations
Kristina Clark currently serves as the Assistant Director, Disability Accommodations in the Center for Academic Performance at UNT Health Science Center responsible for coordinating services for students with disabilities. She has been a sign language interpreter since March, 1994 and has also been coordinating accommodations for students with disabilities since 1999. She has extensive experience in providing accommodations such as alternative testing environments, alternative formats of books for individuals with print disabilities, and training individuals on assistive technology. She has experience working with technology such as JAWS, Inspiration, Kurzweil 3000, CCTVs, alternative keyboards, etc. She has worked with multiple universities and community campuses to provide training and consultation of services for students with disabilities. She has presented at national conferences and has been published in the Section 504 Compliance Handbook (September 2009).
Lisa Allison, MS, LPC
Learning Specialist
Lisa Allison is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in higher education and support services for over 5 years. Prior to working at UNTHSC, Lisa taught study skills and speed reading courses and provided academic counseling to undergraduate students. She enjoys assisting students’ learning by making the most of their strengths. She earned a BS in Psychology and a Minor in English Literature from Texas A&M University and a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas.
Cynthia Carroll, MA, LPC
Learning Specialist
Cynthia Carroll is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has a BS in Psychology from Illinois State University and a MA in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Specialization from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior to working for UNTHSC, Cynthia gained experience in academic counseling at Harold Washington College, in Chicago, and with 7 Dallas area public schools. Cynthia enjoys helping students discover their true academic potential and to learn at their best.
Cortney Wenzel, M.S.
Academic Support Coordinator
Cortney Wenzel has a BS in Environmental Studies and a MS in Environmental Geography from Texas State University. Prior to working at UNTHSC, Cortney worked in the Student Learning Assistance Center at Texas State University for over 2 years. She enjoys helping students achieve their academic and personal goals by giving them the learning tools they need to succeed.
