Gardner Announces Service Academy Nominations for Class of 2017
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Cory Gardner (R-CO) announced the nomination of 32 high school students from Colorado’s 4th Congressional District for appointment to the U.S. Service Academies.
“The young men and women who seek appointments to our U.S. Service Academies are among the best and brightest this country has to offer, and it is an honor to nominate them,” Gardner said.
Applicants are put through a rigorous evaluation process that looked at academic and athletic achievements, leadership skills, character, extra-curricular activities and drive to succeed. Fourth District candidates are part of a select group of nominees from across the country, and the individual service academies will make final appointments.
