Strategic Planning

The UNT Health Science Center developed a five-year, phased strategic growth plan that focuses on achieving measurable results by increasing our capacities in five key operational areas: Administration, Academic Affairs, Research, Clinical Care and Community Engagement.  The plan was developed through a collaborative effort that involved the entire campus family, including alumni and various community leaders. The plan was presented to the Board of Regents on August 21, 2008 and approved for our implementation.

In addition, UNT Health Science Center develops annual priorities, called Tactical Initiatives, and annual Performance Measures, which are measurable indicators used to evaluate and communicate our performance.

Strategic Planning is a key tool in helping us carry out our mission and achieve Top 10 status.
